The Kappa Tau chapter is so grateful to have a local Children's Miracle Network Hospital in the Upstate of South Carolina at the Greenville Children's Hospital. The money raised by the Phi Mu Chapter at Lander University stays local to benefit the Greenville Children's Hospital. Phi Mus at Lander have the opportunity to visit the Greenville Children's Hospital several times a semester where we are able to bring the kids toys and see where our money goes. In the past year, we rose almost $3,000 for CMNH throughout the year. On campus, we do several philanthropy events to raise money for CMNH such as Pie a Phi, an event at a baseball game once a year, bake sales, Parent Social, and making bracelets and cards. We also raise money off campus by having Chick Fil A night, Moe's Night, and waiting tables at Mr. John's Pizza.
Here are two of our awesome sisters, Erin and Chelsea, at our Pie-A-Phi board. Catch us on campus during the school year and donate money to CMNH! If you do, you get to pie a sister of your choosing!
Rachel, Biz, and Hayden were lucky enough to not only go to the children's hospital in Greenville, but to see some of the service dogs that our philanthropy money goes towards!
Every year, Dairy Queen partners with CMNH to spread awareness of the awesome kids they are treating throughout the country. Haley and Lauren took part in the fun with yummy blizzards!
Here is another picture of Lauren and Keri helping out the sweet kids at CMNH by taking part in Miracle Treat Day with a cool blizzard!
Here are just a couple pictures of our ladies at Parents Social! Not only do we get to show our parents a little bit of what we have accomplished in the past year, we also have a silent auction and send all of the proceeds to CMNH!
